Teller making himself at home

I am so very happy for this boy that he has finally settling into his new home. It can be so hard for an adult to move house and settle properly. Teller sure sounds like he is enjoying his pet life and his new owners are very much in love (Birmans will do that. Lol.).

Babies, Babies everywhere

Well Willow had her little babies on the 22nd June and did it all herself. She and Leo are now the proud parents to 4 girls and 1 boy (I am so excited). I can’t wait to watch their colours develop and see what we get this time. I am hoping to keep a tabby girl but shall see what we get. Pic below taken last night at 2 days of age.

Eeni Meeni Myni Mo

Well Sahara’s litter would have to be the most even litter born here. All 3 kittens are just gorgeous. Little Magnum has a slight chin spot so will be a pet only. But Eve and Java are both marked and looking very nice. Time will tell who stays. I will really be needing another boy as Leo will be desexed at the end of this year so Java might edge over. I have time to decide though so I am enjoying watching them grow up.

Willow glowing

Well Willow has become her lazy self now that she is 4.5 weeks pregnant with her 2nd litter. I wasn’t keen on her having a litter so soon after her last litter of boys back in January but with constant calling and her losing condition the decision was made for her to visit with Leo again. She has really calmed down now and has slept most of today on my bed. I look forward to seeing what she has this time and I can only hope there are some girls in there.

Tulula at 8 months

The time is going by so quickly. My little girl from NSW will be attending her first show in a couple of weeks time and it will be interesting to see how she goes. She has such character and reminds me a little of my ex queen Riah (must be something about Seal points).

Mother and Daughter

I am hoping to get better photos of these babies over the weekend and for their 4 week update. They are all going really well and have started to come out of their box. Their colour has had me a little confused but I think it is safe to say now that they are not Blue points as I had first thought but infact Seal points.

Anyway this picture taken last night. Mummy Sahara and her little girl “Berrick Temptation” (Eve).

Have a great life Teller

Well my first stud boy Teller flew off to his new home on the weekend. It is always hard parting with adult cats as they do really become part of your life. His new owners are already in love and I hope he settles very soon. It is a big adjustment for an adult cat especially an ex stud (not that I think we can call him that).

The picture below is the last taken here of him. Such a shame he never had any kittens.

What are the chances

It seems that with the last few litters there have been some really strange things going on.

Astronomer litter: 1 kitten (boy). From A carrying b parents. Kitten is B (A is more dominant).

Little Rascals litter: 6 kittens (5 boys and 1 girl). There were 5 blues and 1 seal. 50% chance of either colour and sex.

Famous Scientist litter: 4 kittens (all boys).

Magnum litter: 3 kittens (2 boys and 1 girl). All look to be blue (dilute colour) from non dilute (seal and choc) parents. Only 25% chance of there being blue.

I wonder what will be next. Would be nice to get a litter of all girls. Lol. One can wish.

Our next litter arrived

Not without some drama though. It was a very stressful time for both Sahara and myself. She ended up having a caesarian at around 8:45pm on the 16th April 2011. We have 3 beautiful little babies. We have 2 boys and 1 girl. At this early stage I am thinking they are all the same colour but looks can be deceiving so early on. In a couple of days I will know for sure but I am VERY excited if my thoughts are correct.

Picture below taken today at 3 days.

Got to love an arranged marriage

It can be hard sometimes to choose studs for the girls (and girls for the studs) but I guess that is the fun in breeding. Until now I have always had to take my girls out to stud because of a certain young man (Teller). But now that I have a working boy it is so much less stress for the girls and of course for me with travelling. I was undecided where to take my girl Tulula but think her man is right under my nose. So when she is old enough I think she will be mated to our very own Leo. We shall see what that produces.
